My Family

Henry CLEVELAND was born on DEC 22 1699 in Chelmsford, Middlesex Co., MA. He died about 1779 in Mansfield, Tolland Co., CT. Lt. Henry Cleaveland lived first at Canterbury.

He removed before 1746 to Mansfield; probably died there.

He and Lucy his wife admitted by letter April 19, 1747, withdrew Nov. 1, 1762.

Henry was ensign, second company, Canterbury Train Band, 1739, and lieutenant of first company, Mansfield, 1745, and in the French wars.
